The story of ICON, written and directed by Tony Ahedo, takes place in Saint Petersburg, Florida during the 2010s period with significant flashbacks from the 1990s. Being the costume designer on this film allowed me to really dive deep into these fun eras. Finding 90s outfits was the most fun part since the style was just coming back when we were in pre-production for the film. I luckily had a ton of outfits from the 2010s era and the 90s that all fit the main female actresses Devon Hales and Julia Denton. Working within a tight budget for this ultra-low budget indie film was tough, but we made it work and I am very proud of how it turned out. Everyone on set was so talented and I am glad to have been a part of it.
